Library, 2015

from £20.00

Before it’s unforgivable destruction, I spent a day photographing John Madin’s Birmingham Central Library from many angles. The corner that faced towards Victoria Square being the most iconic, I managed to get this one good snap on what was a grey, wet day.

Printed on Pro-Platinum photography stock, the concrete detailing and the weight of the form is fully represented. A3 size but other sizes available on request.

It’s monumentous design, serious and confident, was a near-perfect fortress of learning. The city is greatly diminished in it’s removal.
